Homestead Exemption

Substantial property tax savings are available to most homeowners via a Homestead Exemption.  Generally speaking, Georgia law entitles a homeowner a homestead tax exemption provided the home is their primary residence as of January 1 of the taxable year (O.C.G.A. § 48-5-40).

A homestead exemption is generally granted if you will occupy the home and the home is considered your legal residence.

Title Insurance protects your property ownership against loss or damage resulting from defects or failure of title.  Watch this 1-minute video to learn more.

Wiring Funds For Your Closing

Georgia requires funds for your closing in excess of $5000 to be wired.  We can accept a cashiers check or certified funds for amounts under $5000.  We can accept personal checks for less than $1000.  We can not accept cash. Watch this brief video for additional info.

Title Insurance Cost

Cost of title insurance will depend on the purchase price and loan amount. Generally speaking, title insurance is a one-time cost ranging from 0.2% to 0.3% of the purchase price (owners title insurance) or the loan amount (lenders title insurance).
